Sponsored Listings: How Bidding Works on All Roadside

Sponsored placement is for providers who want one specific service to appear near the top of the page in one specific area. It sits above the Pro section and below Platinum. This page explains how it works, who it suits, and how to decide what to bid.

Where Sponsored appears

Every All Roadside area page lists providers in four sections:

  1. Platinum: invite only, rotating first place.
  2. Sponsored: two spots per service per area.
  3. Pro: $99 per month per listing, rotating.
  4. Free: closest first.

Drivers and dispatchers arrive on these pages after searching for a truck problem in a place, and often call from the top. Sponsored spots are labeled.

The rules

How Sponsored differs from Pro

Pro lifts your listing above all free listings, rotating within the Pro section, and covers every service category at your location for one price. Sponsored targets one service in one area, and places it above the whole Pro section.

Think of Pro as your base, and Sponsored as a spotlight on the service that matters most where competition is heaviest.

Midpage: you need Pro before you can bid. Upgrade to Pro for $99 per month per listing, then choose a service and area for Sponsored.

Who Sponsored suits

It may not be worth it in a small town with few providers, where Pro alone may already put you near the top.

Deciding what to bid

Bid from your own numbers, not a guess:

  1. Estimate what one typical job in that service is worth to you after parts and labor.
  2. Decide how many extra jobs per month would make the bid worthwhile.
  3. Set a monthly bid you would be comfortable paying for that.
  4. Track calls by source and adjust.

Bid on the services where you have capacity. A Sponsored spot that brings calls you cannot answer hurts your reputation and your chance at Platinum.

Sponsored and Platinum

Platinum sits above Sponsored, is invite only and cannot be bought or bid on. All Roadside invites roughly the top 10 percent of providers in an area based on answered calls, driver feedback and service quality. Strong service while holding a Sponsored spot can help you earn an invitation.

Area coverage

Sponsored follows the area of the listing: home town plus 25 miles for shops, and plus 30 miles for mobile repair and towing. To be Sponsored in another town, you need a listing there.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need Pro before I can bid on Sponsored?

Yes. Sponsored is an add-on on top of Pro, not a replacement for it.

How many Sponsored spots are there?

Two per service category per area, shown above the Pro section.

How is the winner decided?

The highest monthly bids win the two spots for that service in that area. Starting bids vary by city size.

Can I bid on only one service?

Yes. Sponsored is sold per category per area, so you can focus on the service you most want to grow, such as towing or tire service, without bidding on everything.

How is Sponsored different from Platinum?

Sponsored is won by bid. Platinum is invite only, with no public price, and is offered to roughly the top 10 percent of providers in an area based on answered calls, driver feedback and service quality. Platinum sits at the top of the list with a rotating first place.

What happens if I stop bidding?

Your Pro listing continues in the Pro section, and the Sponsored spot goes to other bidders.

Is Sponsored available in every area?

Sponsored spots are sold per category per area. Ask about the areas and services you care about on the advertise page.
